Local Primary School Donation from Curo Encourages Learning Through Play

Housing association and housebuilder Curo, known for its "Homes for Good" ethos, has strengthened its commitment to the local community by providing sponsorship for the Two Rivers Primary School in Keynsham. Situated right next to their new Withies Green development, this initiative reflects Curo's aim to create a welcoming environment and well-connected neighbourhood where families can access excellent educational options close to home.

As part of this support, Curo has sponsored the installation of an outdoor canopy classroom, offering an all-year-round outdoor learning space that will allow for a more dynamic learning experience and teaching options beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Two Rivers Primary School is part of the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme, which promotes high-quality play opportunities for children. In alignment with this, Curo will also be donating surplus construction materials over the coming months, that would otherwise have gone to landfill, giving pupils the chance to use them creatively for activities such as den building.

Speaking about the partnership, the school's headteacher, Owen Edwards, said: "It's so important to nurture children's imagination. The pupils will benefit hugely from this new outdoor space, and we are very grateful to Curo for their support and investment."

Located between Bristol and Bath, Keynsham is a thriving market town that is perfect for families. Curo is pleased to be a part of the area's community, having recently launched its Withies Green development on April 25th.
Withies Green will deliver up to 208 thoughtfully designed homes, ranging from one-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom houses. The development will feature green open spaces, a brand new sports pitch, a community orchard and allotments with dedicated grow patches, along with a commitment to enhancing local biodiversity by at least 10%.

As both the school and Withies Green continue to grow, Curo will continue to explore further projects, like the new den, that will inspire children's learning and wellbeing.
