First 100% mortgage in 15 years is exciting news for first-time buyers
Attention all first-time buyers: for the first time since 2008, the first 100% mortgage (that doesn’t require a guarantor’s backing) has launched in the UK, courtesy of Skipton Building Society.
This means there might be another option out there for those renters that are currently struggling to save up for a deposit.
The offer – which is eligible up to £600,000 but not available for new build flats – is for first-time buyers that have been renting for at least 12 months in a row during the last 18 months.
Named the “Track Record Mortgage”, this new offer will help many more people make their first step onto the housing ladder.
Other terms for eligibility include having a clean credit history and having evidence of paying household bills throughout the previous rental period. The maximum term is 35 years, with one product available at a 5-year fixed rate of 5.49%.
At Curo, there is a multitude of beautiful new build homes available to buy from Mulberry Park, Combe Down; Eaton Park, Yatton; Keyford Meadows, Frome; and Century Park, Bristol developments. And this 100% mortgage offer could be used to purchase one of them.
Curo also has another development on the horizon, with Locking Parklands in Weston-super-Mare soon to be released, with one, two, three and four-bedroom homes available to purchase.
It matters more than ever to buy a home with a housebuilder you can trust. As a business with social objectives, Curo does things differently. Its mission is not driven by making enormous profits, but by making a positive difference within the housing sector. This is achieved by reinvesting its profits into building quality affordable houses, while supporting and building communities.
