Curo manager wins quality and workmanship at local housing development

Site manager wins national awards for delivering high-quality homes at Locking Parklands.

Steve Weymouth, a Site Manager at housing association and house-builder Curo, has been recognised in the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) 2025 Pride in the Job Awards.

Steve received a Quality Award for his work at Locking Parklands, a major win in this highly competitive national scheme. The award celebrates his leadership, technical expertise and commitment to the highest standards in housebuilding.

Steve has worked in the sector for more than 18 years.

Steve says, "I’m really proud but it’s a team effort! I would like to thank everyone at Curo & our sub-contractors for all their hard work. Everything they do really is appreciated & certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. A special thanks to Sean Needs - my assistant - who has been superb throughout the scheme. Locking Parklands looks fantastic & I’m really pleased to have been a part of its development.”

Steve’s success follows a strong track record for Curo Site Managers in the NHBC awards, with previous wins for developments at Woodland View at Hygge Park and Mulberry Park.

Locking Parklands is the fourth phase of the regeneration of the former RAF base near Weston-super-Mare. Once complete, the neighbourhood will include 1,450 homes, a new community centre, GP surgery, shops and two new schools — a primary and a secondary, both now open.

Curo is delivering 124 high-quality homes as part of the latest phase, with more than 30% designated as affordable housing. The project is a partnership with St Modwen, Homes England and North Somerset Council.
