Sustainability in our New Build Homes

The UK is experiencing widespread changes to its climate due to global carbon emissions. Here at Curo we have a responsibility to make sure we’re doing everything we can to build homes that help households reduce their carbon footprints and reduce the impact of climate change.

So, what are we doing to make our homes as sustainable as possible? Here’s a list of some of the ways our developments have incorporated sustainability into their design:

Mulberry Park:

·         Passivhaus homes at our flagship development, Mulberry Park, Bath, are a style of property engineered to achieve space heating savings of up to 90%, available now.

·         High quality insulation is standard throughout all homes.

·         Solar panels have been installed on selected properties.

·         Access and wiring for electric cars on selected properties.

·         Water butts fitted as standard.

Century Park:

·         At this development on the edge of Bristol, ground source heat pumps have been installed in all properties. This system uses natural heat from deep underground to heat the well-insulated homes.

·         High quality insulation throughout.

·         Access and wiring for electric cars on selected properties.

·         Communal pay-as-you-go electric car charging point.

Eaton Park:

·         Solar panels have been installed on selected properties across the development here in Yatton.

·         Access and wiring for electric cars is available on selected properties.

·         High quality insulation throughout all homes.

·         Water butts fitted as standard.
