Curo Colleagues Celebrate at WhatHouse? Awards Winners Ceremony
Hot off the back of winning silver in the Best Development category at the annual WhatHouse? Awards, Curo colleagues delighted in the chance to attend the Winners Ceremony in London last month.
The WhatHouse? Awards are a national competition that celebrate the very best developments, housing associations and developers from all over the country. Curo, alongside all other Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners from each category were invited to London for an exclusive event to commemorate their achievements.
The opportunity to attend this exclusive event was made possible by Mulberry Park's Silver win for Best Development at the WhatHouse? Awards in 2022. Mulberry Park was praised for its exquisite architecture, exceptional craftsmanship, and emphasis on placemaking. With their sights set on the Gold award this year, the team are looking forward to continuing their success in providing the great properties and places that Curo has become known for.
Beginning with a personalised Tour of the Tower of London, winners piled into the former royal residence, which was famously later converted into the better-known, notorious prison to explore a special piece of British history. The tour was followed by an exclusive viewing of the Crown Jewels, where winners marvelled at the world-famous collection of sacred and ceremonial objects, before coming together for an evening drinks reception to celebrate their wins.
For Curo, the event was a chance to reflect on their impressive achievements at Mulberry Park, which has received significant recognition in recent years. The site crew at Mulberry Park were the inaugural recipients of the Pride in the Job Award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) in 2021, before winning again in 2022. In 2019, The Hub at Mulberry Park also earned the RICS Community Benefit Award for its significant positive impact on the community.
Upon its full completion in 2026, Mulberry Park will offer up to 700 homes, along with a host of community facilities and open spaces. Already, the development boasts a £10 million award-winning community Hub, a 210-place primary school, a 70-place nursery, and a 4G sports pitch. In addition, retail space and a spacious new public park are also in the works, further enhancing the appeal of this bustling new neighbourhood.
