We’re here to support you, from the moment you find your Curo Shared Ownership home to moving in and moving on, we’re here to help.

Are you the proud owner of a new build Shared Ownership home? Our Defects team is on hand to support you once you’ve settled in.

When you move into a brand new Curo home, the newly built property will have a One Year Defects Period which lasts until the property’s first anniversary. (Please note this will not be the same date you moved in).

Defects do not include accidental damage, wear and tear, misuse, cosmetic or everyday maintenance. The urgency/severity of the defect will define how long it may take for the house-builder to put things right (by either repair/replacement). Please refer to the Homeowners guide for further details.

After your 12-month warranty period has finished, Curo, the house-builder and an independent surveyor will visit for an ‘end-of-defects’ inspection.

We will walk around the property and look for any defects that the house-builder is liable for before the final sign-off. We will write to you with details of the appointment 14 days before the inspection.

You can be confident in the knowledge that every care has been taken to ensure your home is perfect for your big day. But if there are any issues, help is on hand.
